per·se·ver·ance noun \ˌpər-sə-ˈvir-ən(t)s\ : continued effort to do or achieve something despite difficulties, failure, or opposition : the action or condition or an instance of persevering : steadfastness Heading into the new year. My sister n' law, Nancy, (my husband who passed away sister) wrote the most beautiful Christmas card this year. Her husband, Cliff, passed away this past year. In her Christmas card, she wrote a quote, that Cliff would read on New Years eve. I have never seen or read it before. It really, really touched me. I would like to share it with you, just in case you haven't seen it either! Maybe, we can all make it a new tradition to read this to our own families? I Am The New Year Author Unknown Life, I am the new year. I am an unspoiled page in your book of time. I am your next chance at the art of living. I am your opportunity to practice what you have learned about life during the last twelve months. All that you sought and didn't find is hidden in me, waiting for you to search it out with more determination. All the good that you tried for and didn't achieve is mine to grant when you have fewer conflicting desires. All that you dreamed but didn't dare to do, all that you hoped but did not will, all the faith that you claimed but did not have - these slumber lightly, waiting to be awakened by the touch of a strong purpose. I am your opportunity to renew your allegiance to Him who said, 'behold, I make all things new.' I am the new year. The below photograph for me, captures this quote. Moving forward, momentum, Perseverance... I hope you like it! :) Click to set custom HTML
