My Horse's feet are as swift as rolling thunder
He carries me away from all my fears and when the world threatens to fall asunder His mane is there to wipe away my tears ~Bonnie Lewis~ :) The horses paw and prance and neigh,
Fillies and colts like kittens play, And dance and toss their rippled manes Shining and soft as silken skeins;... ~Oliver Wendell Holmes :) I really liked this photograph for the rider taking a break and resting the heel of her foot on the bleacher. Her horse doing the same with resting his muzzle on the bleacher as if to hold his head up. So, I thought, that's the photograph! Oh, and look, the cinch and saddle has slid and left a mark. Cool! BUT, that isn't all I see. Matter of fact, I just saw it as I posted this! Do YOU see something strange? Look again. Maybe, it is just me, but I can't figure it out. Upon first impression, would you say the rider is facing her horse?
Of course she is. Right? Ahhhh, look again. How in the world can her right foot be backwards? I mean, just look! The heel of her right foot (at least I thought it was her right foot) is BACKWARDS. Now, for me, I really thought she was facing her horse. The inseam of her left (or right?) pant leg just looks like it is her left leg, and the opening of her coat. OK, I'm wrong. Neat illusion. But then again, it could just be ME. :O |
