I always felt that when my dog Harrison was ready to see heaven, he would let me know. I got Harrison, Harrison Ford, as a puppy. He was a beautiful chocolate labrador. He loved to chase a tennis ball and give many wet loving kisses. He had the most beautiful eyes. As old age crept in, his eyes became a bit sunken, and his brown coat turned white. When I took this photograph he had just had a stroke. He wasn't sure where he was.
"Heaven," he said, "I will see you in heaven."
I loved him.
Harrison has been playing in heaven now for several years. I just now, could find myself able to edit this photograph of his beautiful soul.
This little girl was completely entranced by the white horse named Whimsie. She tentatively held out her gloved hand to touch her nose. I think the horse was also entranced by the blonde haired beauty. Their moment together was between them, and personal.
I just received an email from National Geographic telling me that an editor from National Geographic just
saved the below photograph as one of their favorites!!!! Below is a screen shot of the email. Below that is the photograph!
Walking on sunshine!
Happy New Year, two weeks late! So much to do, and so little time! I am not sure where the time does go, but I have been told that as you age it goes by faster, and faster. Seems true to life. Even my doberman Harvey is now almost 2 1/2 years of age. I think he is getting even handsomer. What do you think?
2016 will be the year I really master my camera. HA! Just like with horses, the more you think you know, the more there is to know. Especially, if you add a new one! Enter the Canon EOS 5D Mark III. Merry Christmas to me! This camera is one powerful tool. The below photograph was taken with it. I probably will be experimenting with this machine for the rest of my life. Well, I at least hope to be!
I hope your 2016 is filled with only happiness and perfect health.
