Remember that "feeling" thing I keep talking about? Well, maybe I am just WAY to into needing to feel a photo, because I am my own worst critic when it comes to them. The above photograph was taken at a local very important horse show here in Aiken, SC called the Winter classic. I have two galleries now of two days if you click at the above tab for galleries.
The hunter/jumper horses are so amazingly beautiful. I can't tell you what athletes they are. Their riders though, are so intense. I can see why. Lots of competition, and a strive for perfection. To me though, it is a hard place to be photographing. I am use to people having fun, laughter, learning, etc. It is not so at these shows. It is in a word,
INTENSE. So, as the photographer I am, I take photographs of the dogs. I take photographs of the children riding ponies and having fun. There are some serious ones, yes, there are.... but, all in all - don't you just want to have fun?
OH MY! My thoughts on the above photograph. Ha! Just have to laugh. This doggie was the highlight for me. He/she had her owner/friends enamored with love and her character. She out-shined the $30,000 (more) horses. She was truly in her element. From the Christmas collar, to the leash that was actually a horse lead rope! OH, and is he/she now
taking care of her owner? Oh yes she is! Darn tootin! Love the jeans, love the riding dirty boots. Love, love, love. Every where is love (are you singing the song yet?) Black nose, caramel eyes, and pink tongue. Dirty belly...
every where is love, love,
