First of all I would like you to take a look at this amazing video of one of our horses in the United States Equestrian team. His name is Neville, and owned by Boyd and Silva Martin. This video that you will see after you click on the link (you may have to copy it to your browser) is amazing. This horse survived a barn fire, being terminated from the race track, and is now praised. Holy horse! :) Here is the link you should copy and go to. Of course, one of the reasons I am so intrigued by this horse and his rider's is because I have galleries of their owners, and Neville. If you click on the above tab for galleries and look for them. Now, seeing why this horse is so special, I am just in awe. Please go to the below link for their winning video! You will not be disappointed! http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/13/sports/horse-is-a-fire-survivor-and-a-possible-olympian.html Now, onto the below photograph. Please see my review below it! This photograph below was taken at the Fall Steeplechase here in Aiken, SC. A winner? OH YES!!! A huge, HUGE winner! Just look at the jockey, the horse telling them "I DID IT!", and the owners.
WOW! Just love all of the colors. the happiness. We all need to be happy. Feeling the "moment!" SHARING, the moment. We all need a lesson on this. If your day is not a great one, if you are sad, - find pleasure in seeing others happy. It is not an easy task. But, everyone deserves to have others happy for THEM, to be HAPPY!!!!

Seeing, eye to eye. Breathing, nose to nose. Hearing, ears to ears. Sizing up the competition...
"Hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil." Meet Amos and Blue! A couple of herd mates that are always poking at each other! Until, one is led away! I got a kick out of these two at a workshop awhile back. Not a real kick, just a laugh! :O The were separated for a short time, and during that time they called out to each other! NEEEEIIIIGGGHHH! "Where are ya buddy?" "Downnnn heeerrreee!!" "Come back!" "Come back!" Once reunited, they resumed their poking! I love their color coats, the beautiful blue roan, and the chestnut red! The fall colors in the back ground seem to set their profiles on fire.
You only argue with the one's you love... Below, is a cool hiny shot of a beautiful horse! What kind of horse, you might ask. Well, this is a polo pony in waiting. Polo ponies are saddled and await their rider during the game. He is next in line. So, what is he thinking? Is he watching the game? What in the world is on your left? A BLUR of two polo pony riders and their horses. I get a huge kick out of this blur. I am thinking the below pony is also amused. But, actually, my reading is that he is a bit nervous. His/her eye says it all. There is a tenseness to the body. The ears standing at attention and firm. Like the tail, the braid. Notice, they shave the mane! Where is this poor horse's mane? Ears trimmed of all hair. Saddle, so small. I am still looking at the two riders that are blurred on the left. I think I need to enlarge it and see if anyone can figure out what in the world it is a photograph of! Enjoy!
For the new readers of this site! I usually, comment on each photograph and critique it. So, here I go. But, I can't seem to critique this one. I love this horse. Love the braid of the mane between the front of the bridle and the back behind the ears. Love the color of this horse. Love the small fur/hair that stand up off of the top of the mane. Love the SOFT hands of the Olympic rider. The bit in the horse's mouth that is not tight. Like the wrap of the legs of the rider that is molded to the horse's body. Love the eye and eyebrow furrow of the horse asking it's rider what next? The curve of his neck. The soft nostril. The pupil in the middle of the horse's eye. The light on the breast bone right dang smart in the middle!
I guess all in all, you can tell, I don't care for this photo. Right? A HUGE thank you! To Olympic Equestrian's Silva and Boyd Martin for putting a link to my photography directly on
their website. I was so in awe, that they put a link to my photographs on their face book page, and then their blog. But, to find out that they now have a link directly to the first page of my photograph website on their website, is so wonderful. I can't thank them enough! Please, check out their galleries on my site here under the tab above for "All galleries and purchasing." Here is the link for my link! http://boydandsilvamartin.com/Pages/boyd/AikenFacility.html Look towards the bottom of the page. The gallery is not all of my photographs.
