Here is a very interesting photograph that I took when my horse JESTER entered the herd. He is the one on the far left. It was an over the fence meeting, but intense. Not sure why, but this photograph is one that stops me and makes me take it all in. Maybe, it is because all they did was breathe in each other's scent from their noses. SO intriguing for the fact of wondering what, WHAT, can they find out about each other from breathing in each other's air. "Where have ya been?" "What's ya been doing?" "Who have you seen?" Interesting that they say one greeting that a human can have to a horse is to let them breathe in your breath. Well, I have to say, when meeting a new horse, I love a peppermint in my
holster....
