This photograph intrigues me a bit. I hope it intrigues you too! The reason being, is because I am not sure where to focus my attention first. Do you concentrate on the feeling of the subject? Do you look at the eye? The pupil barely sneaking through the middle of the white long lashes? How about the the stiffness of the well oiled leather of the bridle. Maybe, you concentrated on the three gold buckles that you would be taking your hands up to undue? Did the triangles on the reins grab you? The greenness of the background with the sun shining on his/her face with small shadows you need to look for. The crease lines for the brow area above the eye? The small rust colored dapples on the face, and the swirl in the fur at the neck line. The hardness of the jaw. The small veins that pop out under the skin from below the eye and around the nose. Maybe, nothing grabbed you. But then, are you still reading? Hope so! Now, take another look… Where do you focus?
