This beautiful steed is named Party Barn. This was the name he was given as a thoroughbred racehorse, now retired. He is competing in the Thoroughbred Makeover in Kentucky this October. He had just arrived to the farm where he will be in training with horsewoman, Julie Robins. He was stunning! The first thing that he did when let out into an arena was roll. This is the sand that you can see on the side of his face! Freedom! Good luck Party Barn!
:)
The first time I met this handsome equine he was near death. Starving and mistreated. I couldn't leave him to have a painful ending to his life so I purchased him. He was unrideable and fearful. I stood close to his side and asked him if he wanted to come home with me. He lifted his head and stared into my soul. Just like in this photograph. He had a way of reading every emotion of me. I nursed him back into a beautiful horse that trusted me. He has since gained heaven. Loved him so much!
This photograph was taken with black and white film and developed in my darkroom. It is of a little neighbor girl who deeply loved her kitty. She had the saddest of eyes.
