Last March, the Harvard University's women's polo team was here in Aiken training and competing. They were taking a workshop with JulieRobins.com and I was lucky to be the photographer. It is fun to sometimes go back and look at past photographs and maybe "see" something that I hadn't before. Like in the photo above. Remember how I talk about "feeling" a photograph? I would like to think that when you view and feel a photo, it takes you somewhere other than the chair you are sitting on. The beautiful woman in the photo makes me wonder why the sad moment. Sad, or thoughtful? I read sad. The hug she is giving the horse is almost as though they are connected and one. BUT, also, not together. See how her attention is in her mind, and the horses attention is looking elsewhere? I love the mane of this horse, and the soft round muzzle. The ears make me smile. It is almost as if his right ear is on backwards. This is a multi-talented horse!
