So, what would you call this photograph? How about something like...
"Kitty on cedar table." Perfect! bwah hahahahha I am sorry to say, "to know him, is not to love him." He does look sweet though doesn't he? Killer of moles, squirrels, mice, snakes, and rabbits. Open your car door, he is in. His "meow" isn't a "meow." It is more of a loud scream that sounds like "MOMMA!" Then, the kitty said, "please, please, pet me, I promise to purr and snuggle up to you." "Right before I bite you."

I spy YOU!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equine_vision "Open hailing frequencies and give me visual." (Stark Trek, The Last Generation.) Hopefully, you will SEE something you like in the below photograph. Microscope please... :) Thinking of the approach of Fall. Cool mornings here in Aiken, SC makes for very happy horses! The leaves actually do change color here in the South! I like the golden leaf blotches in the background of this photograph that match the bay horse in the back. The golden glow is also accented in the white horse's eye and muzzle! Love the flip of the mane of the white horse at the base. Details can sometimes be fun, or aggravating to me. Details, details, details of every photo and making sure there isn't a fly (so to speak). So, I noticed the mark at the base of the mouth of the bay horse. Did you see it? Do you know what it is? It is a strand of hay/grass for later. My own horse Guinness always has one hanging from his mouth.
Kind of an after dinner toothpick. Makes me smile. :) :O There is no denying it. We all have flaws, but in my mind, the horse is perfection.
Pure strength, form, and grace. Magnificent. Having a long lens for your camera can definitely be an intruding thing. This little girl was pretty far away from the horse show, standing alone with her horse under this tree. Yes, I intruded. But, what a perfect moment she was having with her horse. Silencing EVERYTHING out around her, but the two of them. What a beautiful, intimate moment that she will never know has been captured. I wish she did.
Funny, that is how I feel when I look through the lens of my camera. The whole outside world disappears. Just me and what I am viewing in the lens. My beautiful Mother has always taken really great care of herself! Mainly, for the adoring eyes of my Father. Every Saturday growing up was "going to the booty (or beauty) shop to get "beautified!" She still does to this day. Rain, snow, and ice can't stop her. Believe it or not, in a little town called Murrysville, PA, the beauty shop that she goes to is called, "The MANE attraction!" The owner has horses! Having a daughter who owns horses is a big thing for my Mom during her trips to get beautified. She can "talk" horses with the best of them. She even surprised me the other day telling me that my horses "do not need supplements!" "Supplements, Mom?" Now, where in the world did she pick that word up? Reminds me of the story about my Father who also listens intently to my long dragged out stories about every single thing that my horses do. Can't help myself, their definitely my children. In the horse world the horse that "moves" the other horses feet around the pasture is the LEADER. Well, imagine me calling my horse Gator to come to the barn. He was lolly gagging in the top pasture eating a few blades of grass completely ignoring my pleading calls. My Father at the time was watching (not to my knowledge though) while busily painting a fence board. Exasperated, I grabbed a halter and lead rope and started trekking up the pasture to get Gator. To my surprise, my Dad yelled at me.
"He's moving your feet!" Ah, I have taught my parents well! How embarrassing. "Yes, Dad, looks like I am just their slave." ;) Hey, do you think that the beautiful horse below went to the booty shop? I am in awe of this photo. You know, I want to capture the EYE of the horse. Which in turn, means the soul.
Well, I am on the GROUND looking at this. Not my talent, I am just saying, it is in the heart of ALL of our souls. The eye is the intention. The energy. THE background of who you are looking at! Is it the stare of a cold hearted killer? You have seen those! There isn't anything behind the eye. Vacant. Oh no, look at this eye. I believe in God, and God has a hand in all. Including, this guy, named "Doc." He has a huge, huge, heart. It REFLECTS in his eye, his SOUL. I am on my knees Thank you for letting me capture this photo dear God. This makes sense! I hope you like it, and I hope you let me know!!! |
