A beautiful horse named Borrego who is longing to come out and play. He is resting after an injury. Don't worry though, he is hand walked and loved all day and night long. I liked the way the black and white emphasized the
"jail." He was happy to give me this photo opportunity. Sweet boy! :)

Saturday, March 7th was the first Aiken Horsemanship Academy's Challenge! It was given by Julie Robins at her Dragon Fly Farm here in Aiken, SC. It contained a competition of Liberty, Pattern, and Obstacles. It is a new competition designed to develop refinement, connection, and a stronger partnership with your horse. The best part? IT WAS FUN! Everyone had an excellent time! I always like to photograph competitions where the participants and horses are enjoying themselves. This definitely was a huge HIT. I can't wait for the next one! Check out Julie Robin's website for more information. http://www.JulieRobins.com Look for the button AHA CHALLENGE! I hope you enjoy the photographs as much as I did taking them! Click on the below photograph to be taken to a new page. Click one more time on the photograph to be in the entire gallery of eight pages! Make sure you check out the button at the top right of your screen that says slideshow. Hit that, sit back, and enjoy the show!
Laurie If you would like to share any of the photographs in the gallery, look for the SHARE button for FaceBook, etc. It's free! :) David Hume's Essays, Moral and Political, 1742, include:
"Beauty in things exists merely in the mind which contemplates them." Your opinion, is just that. Your opinion… All of us, at some point, have a different opinion, or view of things. Does that mean how you are viewing it? Seeing it? Or, about how it makes you feel. I heard recently (not sure where!) that you can't view or see love. Love is inside us. The example was, when you are kissing a special loved one, are your eyes closed? They usually are. For, you are feeling that innermost amazement of love that hits your soul, and not your eyes. One of my very special moments are when I have my arms wrapped around my horse, my head is planted in the crease of his neck and my eyes are closed. The scent and the FEELING I have at that moment goes through my whole body. Love… I remember the first time my husband brushed my hand with his. I actually mean, he lightly touched it. It was electrifying. Hmm, chemistry! Do you see chemistry, or feel it? So, Beauty may be in the EYE of the beholder, but the feeling of LOVE comes from inside you. My opinion, of course… What's your view? ;) |
