I have had some fun editing and tweaking this image of this beautiful mare with the mark of a heart on her forehead. If you saw the post (two ago) you may recognize her. The previous post is in black and white. True to my black and white past, I believe it is my favorite version. But, you know, I am all about the "eyes." With the colored version, you can see into her eyes, or her soul. So, I am conflicted of which one is my favorite.
I am also conflicted about the whole "let's BLACK out the entire background of the horse/dog/animal." In the past few years this has been the rage. Although I do think it makes the animal POP out into your vision, I still like the photograph that tells a story. For instance: 1. Why is this horse yawning? 2. Why is she staring at the photographer? 3. What kind of day was it outside? 4. What is in the background that the photog deleted out? 5. Is this photograph interesting? 6. Does this photograph tell me a story? Inquiring minds want to know. I want to know. So, you won't see too many of these in my portfolio. But, it is fun to be an artist by using the computer. I still want to perfect my vision. My "artistic" eye as you say. I want to look at the world around me and see. Tell a story. Capture the moment in time of a memory that will cease to exist. But, that's just me. Me, Laurie. Hi there... :O :) p.s. The horse was upset and worried. This was the reason for the "yawn." Not that she was tired. There was a visiting trainer that had some unusual tactics that this girl didn't wish to partake in. Now, for the rest of the story.... ~ and now I see ~
